My childhood

Hello friends! How are you? Today I will talk about my childhood. When I was 4 years old I used to stay at home with my mother, who always made me laugh, because I was the littlest. I didn´t go to the nursery school. I used to see lots of cartoons (like “La tres mellizas”) in the morning, and then I used to have a breakfast my mom and my nanny, Gina. In my vacations I used to go at first to algarrobo, where I used to spend one month with my entire family. Then on February I used to go to Riñihue, where I played my cousins, we had clubs in the trees, where we always ate snacks, it was great!. I still go every holiday to Riñihue, but now I spend my vacations in a different house, in Chilco . When I was a child I used to spend my vacations in “el rancho chico”, where we had lots of fun. We used to sleep like 6 cousins in the same bedroom so we always made to much noise, and one aunt always shouted: “kids, please be quiet I try to sleep!” . I remember that I was scared of Maria Jose, but when we heard she shouting my cousins always shouted lauder, because they wanted to bother her. At mornings we always waked up very early and we played in the garden, it is a huge garden, it has like “two floors”, it is great, there we used to play hide and seek. I love Riñihue it is great!. I had lots of fun! Well that was one part of my childhood, I hope you enjoyed it!

my favorite dish

Hi friends, how are you? Today I will talk about my favorite dish, I don´t really know what my favorite dish is, but I know that I love Spanish food!. I love to eat paella, shrimps with garlic, “congrio a la donostiarra” and “corvina a la vasca”, I love that food!. But I think that shrimps are my favorite food, I think that a dish with shrimps is always great!. When we go to a restaurant I always look for a dish with shrimps, and it is always delicious!. My entire family loves Spanish food, my grandfather always say that one de iruarrizaga who doesn´t love Spanish food, he doesn´t deserve the last name jajaja. My father always cook delicious food, he is a wonderful chef, he always cook fish with different sauces, with shrimps, tomatoes sauces, with seafood like ostiones and he cook always with garlic. I know you will say that that is disgusting but I like it! Jaja . Well, know I am starving, I want to eat! That’s all for today, I hope you enjoyed it, see you soon!

My house and neighbourhood

Hi friends! ¿How are you?. Today I will talk about my house and my neighbourhood. I live in La Perousse 5385 in Vitacura. My house is very beautiful; it has one floor and 5 bedrooms. My parents sleep in the biggest room and Sofia and Juan sleep in the smallest. I sleep with my sister Jechu in another room, and Tomas and Javier sleep in the other room. In one different room we have the TV and the other room is for working, Tomas and Jechu always work there. My neighbourhood is also very pretty, I think my neighbourhood is called “jardines del este”, but I don´t know why. My neighbourhood don´t have too much houses and buildings, that’s great I think, in my house you can see the “Cordillera de los andes”, there aren’t many buildings that cover the view. My neighbourhood is also very save, there are guards all day, so there aren´t many robs in my neighbourhood. We have a supermarket, a bakery, a greengrocer and a store where you can buy presents in the surroundings, it´s great, you can go by walking. But one think that I hate is the house of the Japan´s ambassador, it is in my neighbourhood and it is awful!. Well but I can´t do nothing about that!. My September Vacations

Hello friends, ¿how are you?. Today I will talk about what I´m going to do in my September vacations. Well, I´m not sure about it, but I think I will go to my farm, Riñihue. I will go by car with a friend from another School, Jose Rolle, with a cousin and with all my family. I think that all my siblings are going to invite friends, so there will be lots of people.
My uncle will have birthday on September 18th so he will go with us too and with his entire family. That day I think we will celebrate him, and then, at night we will go to “Riñihue´s fonda”, with my cousins and friends and I think that we will go with a man that works in my farm too, his name is Leonel Morales. He is great, he always go with us to parties and he has a great time with us too, he has a little daughter, Silvana and I think she will go with us too.
One thing that I´m sure we will do, is that we will see “Prison Break”, the season four, the last. We all are fanatic, we love that serial and in my house we have a “little cinema”, so all my cousins and his friends come to my house and he all see the serial and lots of movies!. In Riñihue you can do many things, ride a horse, you can go to the beach, sail in the lake and more!. It is great, one day I will invite you. Well, friends I hope you enjoy it, see you soon!

My favorite movie!

Hi friends, ¿how are you?. Today I will talk about my favorite movie. I love movies, I go every Sundays to the cinema with my father, I love watching movies!. I am not sure about my favorite movie, but I think that it is Scoop. It´s a romantic, comedy, murder and mystery movie. It is directed by Woody Allen and starring Hugh Jackman, Scarlet Johansson, Ian McShane and Woody Allen.
The plot is about Sondra Pransky (Scarlet Johansson), she is an American college journalist. She spends her vacations in London. There she attends to a performance given by the magician Sid Waterman (Woody Allen). During the performance she meet Strombel´s ghost (he was a journalist) . The ghost tells Sondra a story about the Tarot Killer, she decides to investigate Lyman (Hugh Jackman) . She thinks that he is the killer, but he falls in love with him. I won´t tell you more, because of the ones that haven´t seeing it. But I will tell you that it is a great movie, I recommend you this movie!. It has everything, love, mystery, comedy and murder. And the actor is also very good looking jaja. Also a great movie is Zoolander (he looks like my brother), but another day I will tell you about it. Well friends, I hope you enjoy it, see you soon!

HOLIDAYS

Hi friends, how are you? Today I will talk about my vacations. Last vacations I went to missions and the second week I went to Riñihue, my farm. I went to missions with my school; we went to a town called “villa del cobil”, we sleep in villa del Cobil school for five days. Every day we woke up at 8 o´clock and then we went to church and we talked about the gospel of the day. Then we went in pairs to missions, we talked with the persons and if we were lucky, we prayed the rosary with them. Then we went back to the school to have lunch, after that we had time to relax. At 4 o´clock the children, the teenagers and the adults came to the school to talk with us, or to play. At 7 o´clock we went to the church and we had the liturgy. After that we were so tired that we went back to school, we had dinner and we went to our sleeping bag to sleep. That week was great, I had so much fun!. But the second week was also great; I went to my farm, Riñihue with my cousin Moni. In my house were many peoples, my mother, my father, my brother with two friends, my oldest sister with his husband, Patrick and with Patrick´s cousin, Jero, he is Mexican and he was in his summer vacations and he came to Chile because he wanted to study some weeks here and he also wanted to be with his family. Also in my house were my father´s friend and his wife, they were with their three daughters, Blanca, Elvira and Berni. They are from England so we talked a little bit English with them. I had a great time with them, we were so internationals! jaja. We talked like Mexican people and then like English people, it was very funny. We almost talked in English all the time, because Jero talks very well English and the English ladies didn´t talk very well Spanish. Well, my holidays were great, I had a great time!. BLOGS

Hi friends, how are you? Today I will talk about the blogs, if they have helped me with my writing skills in English and if I enjoy writing a bit more now. I don´t like very much writing in blogs, we write very often. But I think they are a great way to help the students to write. I think they are a better way for improving our writing than writing an essay and I think that if we have tablets we must use it. I don´t know if they had help me, because I have been 9 years and a half in English class, so I think that I can write pretty well. But I think they are a great way to improve our English and it we must use our tablet in different activities, so I think they are great.

MY IMPRESSION ABOUT PATCH ADAMS

Hello friends, ¿how are you? Today I will talk about my impression about Patch Adams. As you know well, we did studied about his life and we learned a lot about him. He was an American doctor and a professional clown and he founded the Gesundheit! Institute in 1972. Each year he organized a group of volunteers and they travel around the world. They dress as clowns and they bring hope to the orphans. He invented the therapy of laugh and he think that there is a powerful connection between the environment and the wellness. I think that Patch Adams´s work is great, I think that it´s a good way to health. And I also agree with his thought about the powerful connection between the environment and the wellness, if we are living in time of wars, I think that the most likely is that the person would be sick. I think he is great and his alternative medicine is a great option. I am person who laughs a lot so I agree with Patch Adams about the laugh therapy, laugh gives every sick person hope and joy, laugh is the best medicine!. What´s your ideal holiday?

Hello friends, ¿how are you? Today I will talk about my ideal holiday. I think that I would like to travel with my family (with my cousins too) to France or England, maybe to the both countries and finish the trip in Fuenterrabia, Spain. Fuenterrabia is a little town in the Pais Vasco, I have been there because my grandmother was born there and she lived there like 20 years. When my grandmother´s mum die, she gave her one flat there. My grandmother loved that town, so she bought two flats more for us. When we go there we stay in that flat, it is great! It´s not that I have been there many times, I wish I have! , but I have been there once. But it has one little problem our neighbors are from la ETA (a terrorist group form Pais Vasco), but in spite of it, it is a beautiful town. And back to my ideal holiday, I would like to go to London, to my parents’ friend´s house, and also I would like to go to the little towns that are near London. Then I would like to go to France, I would like to go to the Eiffel Tower, to the Louvre Museum and to the cost of France, to San Juan de Luz, Endaya, these little towns are near Fuenterrabia, so after that I would like to stay one week in Fuenterrabia with all my family and cousins. That was my ideal holiday, but I think that it will never happen, so I conform with go to Riñihue (my farm) with my family, cousins and friends! It is a very different holiday, but it is also great! england - usa or canada?

Hi friends, today I will talk about in which country will I prefer to live, in canada, usa or england. I am sure that I would like to live in England. I don´t know England, but I have seen pictures and my sisters and my parents told me that it´s a beautifull country. I would like to see the big ben, cambrige, stonehage and many other places. I would like to live in London, because there lives a parent´s friend. He is a painter and he lives in London with his wife and daughters, I would like to live with them. My sister went to live with them in London for one month and she told me that they were very cozy. Also, she told me that they have very good friends, there friends invited them to spend there vacation on a castle in venece. My parent´s friend´s wife is a designer, she designs invitations for important people and they have 3 daughters, one is the same age as I. For all this reason I think England is the best country for living!. I would choose England, I think I would like to live there, although it is a very expensive country. Well friends, thats all. Ecology problems in Chile

Hello friends, how are you? Today I will talk about ecology, about what is happening in Chile, what problems do we have and how can we solve them.
The truth is I don´t know much of this topic, but I will try to write about it.
Chile has lots of ecologys problems, because the Chilean, like all the world, cut down trees, burn oil, and because of the increase in numbers of cars and planes
The air in Santiago is very contaminated, when you go to la parva or farellones you can see it, that is because we throw away lot of litter. Also, one area of Santiago that is very contaminated is rio mapocho, when you see it, you can watch papers, cans and things that you can´t imagine. Because I don´t know much of this topic I search about problems in Chile and I found that the VII region cut down lots of trees, also I found that Temuco and Padre las Casas´s air is very polluted, because they use firewood in winter. At last I found that the ice in Península Ant´rtica is melting because of the rise of temperatures.
I think that we can solve some of these problems when we stop using aerosols, driving less the car, only when we need it, recycling things, not throwing it away, not wasting water, and lots of things that I can´t remember now.

my favorite music or musician

Hi friends!how are you?
Today I will talk about my favorite music or musician, but the truth is that I don´t have a favorite singer so I really don´t know what will I talk about. I like diferents styles of music, but I don´t like rap, tecno and others that right know I can´t remember. In my house I listen to bands like The Killers, Coldplay, Travis because all my family like this bands. The Killers is a band from Las Vegas, Nevada, they have lots of famous songs, like Read my mind, Romeo and Juliet or Human, whit this song I remember the vacations, missions. Colplay is a band from England, their famous songs are viva la vida, beatiful world. Travis is a band from Scotland, and I love their song: Flowers in the windows. In partys I like to dance reggeton, and bands like La noche, I think this band is the best for dancing. Well, I hope that this liked you. See you soon!

What is your favorite invention/discovery?

Hello friends, how are you?.Today I will talk about my favorite invention:
I think this topic is very difficult, because there are lots of invetions that are very important and that we can´t live without them, but I think my favorite invention is the computer. It is very important for us because with it we can do lots of things, we can search on the Nett things that we don´t know, but the most important thing for us is that we use it as our notebook. We learn with it, we use our tablet at school and we study with them, and they are great!. The technology in Chile is improving, and I think is very important that we are the first class at school who uses computer as notebooks.
And because of the improving, the computers are every day more important, today almost every familiy has a computer. Because of all this I think computers are my favorites inventions. I hope that you had a great time reading my opinion, see you soon!

Hello friends, my name is Magdalena de Iruarrizaga and I am 15 years old. My birthday is on August 17, and I hope I will recibe lots of presents. I am very lazy, I don´t like very much sports. I have 3 sisters and 3 brothers, they are berna, jechu, sofía, tomás, javier and juan. Berna is the oldest and she is married to Patrick. She is pregnant, I will be aunt!. I hope I will the goodmother, but I dont´t think so because Patrick has only sisters. Sofia is the youngest, she is 1 year old.
On my vacation I went to Cachagua with my family. I spend two weeks there, after that I went to missions with my uncle and his family. On february I went to Riñihue and I spend like 3 weeks there.
